ere are some items from a USAF career Flight Engineer veteran -- Sergeant Raymond Roy Vanhorn. "Uncle Roy" was an Air Force lifer who served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Between July 1943 and January 1944, he'd participated as Engineer/Gunner in more than 50 missions with the 348th Bomb Squadron / 99th Bomb Group / 12th & 15th AF. He was an inveterate CAMERA BUG, and took tons of photos.
Here is some that I know about his service and stations ---Sept 1965 he assumed duties of 1stSgt with the 6175th Support Squadron at Kunsan Air Base, Korea. His assignment before that was as 1stSgt of the 20th Troop Carrier Squadron, MATS at Dover AFB in Del.
He was on Okinawa during Korea.
He was stationed in Tokyo (I believe with the 481st Air Resupply Squadron) from 1954-58.
In Apr 1973, he was among the key enlisted personnel to attend the Aerospace Defense Command "First Sergeants Seminar" at Hamilton AFB in CA. He was serving on the staff of the 759th Radar Squadron at Marsh AFS, Washington.
In the late 1960s, early 70s, he was again stationed in Japan for his Vietnam service.

----------------------------I also have a bunch of single B-17 pictures (I've sold a few from the group picture, but still have lots!), as well as a large lot to do with Roy's Japanese wife, and a yardlong photo of Roy's WWII days (which has names for guys from three of the barracks listed on the back!). I haven't priced these yet, but if something interests you, I can get prices. I've sold the B-17 pictures for $35-50 each before. I'm always open to grouping, though!
This slideshow shows a bunch of the stuff having to do with the wife.
